Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon is a tactical role-playing game with turn-based tactical battles. There are 25 chapters in this game including a new set of prologue chapters. There are six levels of gameplay difficulty for new and seasoned players. Some of the gameplay mechanics of the Fire Emblem series, such as the weapon triangle, were not present in the original Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Ken, but have been included in this remake. The game features over 20 character classes, including armored knights, airborne pegasus riders and curates wielding recovery staves. Some classes that were not in the original Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Ken have been included. Players can also directly change a character's class using the "Reclassing" feature, although there are limitations on how many of one particular class a player can have at the same time. Special classes like Lord or Thief cannot Reclass.

The two GBA games were some of my favorite and though I couldn't get into the Wii version as much, I'm really psyched by the DS version. I had no idea it was coming out!

Of course, when one of my most anticipated games comes out, Europes gets it first for once. Anyway, the graphics aren't meant to be great, just improving on the original.

Talk about slipping in under the radar. I haven't checked for new releases in a while since I've been busy with Chrono Trigger. So imagine my surprise when I look at the list and see this game released.

It's vaguely playable if you know knowledge of Fire Emblem, and judging by your enthusiasm you probably do. Sure you won't understand the story or characters (except for the obvious Marth, Sheeda, and Jeigan) but you can at least play the game and sort of demo it while we wait 8 months for it to get localized.

Well, he looked young in the first games too. He looks... well, bad, but he looks a bit better once you get past the tutorial stages. Still, all the portraits suck and that pisses me off.
