Time Hollow is an adventure video game developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo DS video game console. The game was released in Japan on March 19, 2008. An official North American date of September 23, 2008 was announced at E3 2008. The game contains many elements of writer and director Junko Kawano's Playstation 2 work Shadow of Memories, as both games feature a young man using a time-travelling device to try and alter their future.
The game uses an obviously less advanced engine than its counterpart, but it has been stated that there are over 50 different environments to explore, including deserted cities, dark labyrinths and forboding jungles. The Prince will be fighting alongside a new ally, not Elika, but a new character: the Magus. The Magus is a playable character, and it has been stated that you can switch between the Prince and the Magus to utilize either the Prince's acrobatic fighting abilities, or the Magus' magic. As the Prince advances, he will be fighting Corruption, similar to the game's console counterpart, although it has not been revealed if this Corruption is produced by Ahriman. This game will also make use of the touchscreen and stylus style gameplay of the Nintendo DS, and features acrobatics, fighting, and puzzle solving. The art style used is said to be similar to the "illustrative" art style used in the console counterparts.
